About Project Midori

Project Midori or Project Green is my attempt to improve my life through green living.

My name is Bethany and I live in, what someone cleverly calls the artic tundra, Michigan.   An amazing man has decided I need to channel my love for the environment into a blog about my musings, interests and discoveries.   So, I thank him for doing this for me.

I know you are on the edge of your seat wondering how my love for the environment began……  Let me set the scene.

It was an insanely hot day on the University of Florida campus and I had to make a decision.    I had to decide what I was going to do with my life.  I had tried everything including taking random classes, tests that tell you what you want to be when you grow up (don’t waste your time, they are WRONG), taking time off, and traveling.  My last stop on my way out of school was to audit a class on Environmental Science.   As I sat there, with the other students who actually paid for the class, listening to the teacher; I knew this is what I was meant to do with my life.

After leaving Florida and a few years attending the University of Michigan, I have a Master’s degree in Environmental Science.

Project Midori topics will include:

  • Becoming almost environmentally friendly
  • Sustainable living
  • Gardening
  • “Green” product reviews
  • Global Environmental Issues
  • Michigan Environmental Issues
  • And anything involving water, air, and land

Please feel free to contact me about anything environmental related at contact@projectmidori.com.  You can keep up with new posts by following us on Twitter.

Great job on this website! My background was very similar. I took the part-time internship that turned into a job. Good luck!
